Minocqua for his first time!

Mojo traveled for 6 1/2 hours with us up to Minocqua, Wisc this summer. He was such a good traveler. He slept most of the way. He seemed to adjust to the change of homes with no problems. The place we stayed had a dog run which we used as his "spot" a place for him to do #2! For those who don't know we try to have our dog do his duty in one spot in the yard so we can enjoy our yard without worring about dog bombs! We call this his "spot" and it seems to work. Mojo is very smart. While on vacation we walked hills and Mojo met a friend where we stayed, the owners puppy, Frankie. They learned to play very well together. I am quite proud of Mojo. He of course looked for Frankie every day and would whine a bit if he didn't get to go out and play but eventually he learned the better he behaved the more he got to play.



Frankie and Mojo had some fun in the water and almost wandered to far when they decided chasing ducks was fun too! Thankfully, Mojo came when called. On vacation we allowed stick chewing. I was nervous that Mojo would get hurt but I tried to go with the flow. He's not the first dog to chew on sticks and won't be the last. He seemed to enjoy it.



Mojo went on his first boat ride while on vacation and didn't seem to like it. He shook the whole time, poor guy. Mark had to carry him onto the boat. He wanted nothing to do with it. Mojo loved to lay out on the screened in porch in the son during the afternoons, just like at home. Mojo slept almost the whole day our first day home and seemed a bit sad. I think he missed his friend.

Spring Evening

Annabelle and Mojo enjoying a beautiful evening on the deck. Mojo loves to sunbath when he can and just being with the family. Has been very protective lately, especially with other dogs. We are working on him not growling at every dog when we go for walks. He's been better this week, can't figure out what gives. Love this boy!

Sketches!

Mojo, has had a great week with the kids at home all day on Spring Break! Maybe too much attention! Annabelle has brushed or trained this dog just about every day. It is spring and he is shedding! Thank goodness for the Furminator which should take care of this finally! Scott has been looking at him countless times during the day, studying his details to make Mojo sketches.
I have to admit they are not bad either. Is there such thing as too much of a good thing?

Tired Dog is a happy dog!

With the weather becoming nicer out (not nice enough for green grass though!) we've been playing a lot more outside with Mojo. He gets so out of breath that he guards his favorite tennis ball and lays down hoping for a break! Mojo like to snuggle with Annabelle too when play time is over!

Happy Birthday Mojo!

Mojo turned 1!!! The same day Annabelle turned 10. His day started out with a nice walk, then he went to the groomers. Birthday boy had to smell good for the big party! He came home sporting a colorful "Let's party" bandanna. We had 27 guests over for the big occasion. We made a cake and tacos for the guests and picked a small cake up from the dog specialty store for Mojo. Mojo was so well behaved with all of our guests. He had fun being played with by all the kids and the grown men of the group. We spent the evening watching the AKC dog show with all our guests and Mojo. It was a great day. Mojo slept a lot the next day.

Annabelle took some new pictures of Mojo the other day. Mojo is so handsome and very loving.

Mojo seems to be bothered by Scott here! Mojo is thinking "Just leave me alone, I'm trying to nap!"
